READERS: If you have never been here (Twisp and Methow Valley) during spring blossoming you must put this date on your to-do-list. Arrowroot and tree blossoms in profusion after a wet winter makes the sights ever finer. We return here often to enjoy the lazy life, visit with Sandy and Bill (Methow Suites) and see our daughter in her orchard.

I drove to the east side of the mountains on impulse and had been thinking of camping – however the rain was pounding harder there than in Seattle! I started calling around and was referred to the Methow Valley Suites.

The room I stayed in has french doors leading onto a nice bit of lawn which leads into the local hills where deer roam. I could hear all the birds in the morning when I was wakened by the natural light of day.

Our breakfast began with homemade applesauce and was followed by local sausage, scrambled eggs and delicious crepes. The coffee just kept coming!

I hope to stay there again!

Wonderful B & B. Not much else to add, the positive reviews are spot on. Methow Suites B&B is a wonderful place to stay, not only because of the location and clean, comfy room, but because of Sandy and Bill. They are both wonderful hosts, who will make you feel welcomed. Sandy’s breakfast was wonderful and we really enjoyed talking with Sandy and Bill while we ate. They know the area well and can recommend places to eat and hikes to go on. We had excellent Salmon at Twisp River Pub, delicious baked goods from Cinnamon Twisp Bakery and the best spring rolls we have ever had from a little market called Glover Street.
For a small town, Twisp has good food, it’s well worth a stop or if you stay with Sandy and Bill, it’s a wonderful destination.

“An absolutely delightful place to stay”
from the minute you step across the threshold Sandy makes your every need her priority. Homemade treats for an afternoon snack. The accomodation itself was just like home with an ensuite bathroom the bedroom was huge and the bed took up most of it with lovely flufft blankets and pillows it was so comfy. And breakfast was to die for more homemade treats and juice using the best local produce if I lived here I would definitely be back for a longer stay!!

This was like staying at a hotel not a B&B, Our room had a separate bath and was very, very comfortable. We also had a separate entrance which was especially nice since we left and came back a little later in the evening. As one other reviewer noted – this isn’t a cutesy/country B&B. It’s contemporary NW and very inviting. The views of the valley and Mtns are outstanding. We also had deer visit – feeding just beyond the backyard but close enough to see them very well. Bill and Sandy are the perfect hosts – they are warm and friendly and great to sit down and chat with – they know a lot about the area — but they also give you space. The breakfast was perfect – fresh strawberries w/blackberries with a hint of sweetness just to counter the not-quite-in-season strawberries, the blackberries must’ve been frozen (not in season!) but they looked and tasted fresh, not mushy. She also served buttermilk pancakes that were light (I went for the last one even though I was full!) with home-made pear & apricots (grown by them) syrup. She also served local bacon with scambled eggs. We appreciated that she incorporated local products (not to mention home-grown!). You can tell they take pride in being a B&B and have created an environment to support this rather than just renting out a couple rooms in their home. It would be fun to come back each season just to see what Sandy offers for breakfasst plus no matter what time of year – there’s always something to do whether it’s winter activities or hiking and biking in the summer or just getting away and relaxing!

Sandy,
Thanks so much for your warm hospitality-for welcoming our whole family into your beautiful home. And especially, thank you for accommodating our grandchildren. We had a wonderful stay in the valley. Visit us in Alaska.

Hi Sandy and Bill,
Thank you for all your help, right from the night I made a reservation. I am not sure if I can find a high class 5 star hotel (anywhere) that can give a level of comfort than your home. Your care is outstanding. Bill, thank you for coming to pick us up when we could not find our way to your house.

With love,

Sandy and Bill,
I enjoyed the stay very much, the room and food were excellent. My best memories will be of the wonderful conversation and common interest we shared. Many of the books in your library are also in mine. I will be back to enjoy the country and hospitality.

Our recent visit to Methow Suites greeted us with warm hospitality and lasting friendships. Bill and Sandy have lived in the Methow Valley for 40 years and know the history, as well as the special trails and beautiful vista points that others might not be aware.

The suites are brand new and spacious additions to their home. The deck overlooks the broad expanse of the beautiful Methow Valley. Methow Suites is a place to relax or the base for adventures in hiking, snowshoeing or exploring the many historical towns nearby.
